A few more Rules 1 Client agrees to leash and control their dog(s) at all times 2 FLEAS: Client understands that it is a requirement to inform us if you think or know your dog has fleas so that appropriate treatment can be given. If your dog has fleas, a flea bath is mandatory with our "All Natural" flea shampoo. 3 Please keep a close eye on your pets while browsing through the store. Items damaged by chewing, etc. are considered an "instant purchase", and will be added to your bill upon check-out. 4 Client verifies that all pet vaccinations are up-to-date, For health and safety reasons, we recommend that puppies be over 4 months, with all their puppy shots, before you bring them to the shop. 5 Client is responsible for accompanying children under 18 yrs of age & all minors must be under the supervision of an adult guardian at all times 6 For safety, Client agrees to keep accompanying children from approaching other clients’ pets or bathing areas 7 Client assumes all responsibilities, liabilities for the behavior & health of their pet 8 Disruptive or aggressive dogs must be muzzled and/or may be asked to leave (last resort) at management’s discretion. Muzzles are available for use at no charge. 9
FLEA POLICY: Owner or person dropping off the dog is required to tell the staff if the pet has fleas, if it is a known problem. Please tell us if this is a known problem when you make the appointment, so we can be ready to take you dog straight to the bath.
Any pet ( Self Service or Full Service Grooming ) known to, or found to have any fleas is immediately put into the tub for a mandatory flea bath with our shampoo. We an all natural flea shampoo. No harsh chemicals or insecticides.
You will be called after the bath, as killing the fleas and preventing their spread to others in the shop is paramount.
You will be charged an extra $10, $15 or $20 depending on the size of your dog and the amount of shampoo needed.
We have Frontline Plus and Advantage topical flea medication available and is safe to apply immediately after the grooming session. This will take care of any fleas that run and hide in the ears, nose, etc. and come out later.
While your pet is being groomed......you must treat the environment your pet lives in. We will help you with instructions, and much information is available from your Vet or on the internet. Most fleas you see on your pet are in the adult stage. What you do not see are the thousands of eggs a single adult flea can produce. An adult female flea can lay up to 2,000 eggs in her lifetime which will be biting your pet and you soon.
